"Always Your Presence", the song you hear, divinely inspired, composed and
played by him, truly characterizes the life of The Rev. Dr. Rocco A. Errico; a life
lived in the Presence and Counsel of God during the good times and the bad and
throughout his lifelong dedication to the study of The Bible.”
A scholar, teacher, author, minister and Son of God, he has dedicated his life to
the study of The Bible. His works and teachings, gleaned from the simple
straightforward Aramaic translation of The Bible have inspired and touched the
hearts of thousands. For more than forty years, he has traveled the globe lecturing and
teaching the simple truths, free from the dogma and doctrine of modern day Christianity providing spiritual
enlightenment, healing, and a meaningful understanding of The Bible to people of all faiths,
denominations, and backgrounds.
Born of Italian American parents in Manhattan, New York, he was raised Roman Catholic, until the age of
twelve when he moved to California. Throughout troubled teen years, coping with religious confliction, he
turned to God and The Bible for solace. At the age of 16, the "Presence of God" was revealed to him and
he experienced healing for the first time. That same year, after early graduation from high school, he
enrolled in Bible College and after two years of study was ordained by the Assemblies of God church.
Marriage, family, and a move to Arkansas followed where he served as an itinerant minister in the Ozarks
until relocating to San Antonio, Texas in the late 50's as associate pastor of a non denominational church.
With renewed interest in the The Bible, he began teaching bible classes in churches and homes and
eventually throughout the state of Texas. With an innate desire to learn more about The Bible from a Near
Eastern perspective, through Divine Counsel, he was introduced to the work of Dr. George M. Lamsa
(translator of the Bible from the Ancient Aramaic Peshitta texts) in 1964. After intensive study of all of Dr.
Lamsa's work, in counsel with God once again, the young minister contacted Dr. Lamsa to arrange a
meeting. The phone call was an answer to Dr. Lamsa's prayers and he praised God that he had found the
chosen one to carry on the Aramaic work. In the year 1965, In the Presence of God, with Bible in hand
and Dr. Lamsa by his side, Dr. Errico's world was opened to a new understanding of scripture that would
change his life and destiny forever.
Mentored by Dr. George Lamsa for ten years, followed by intensive research and
study of the Aramaic language, Near Eastern history, customs, and culture, Dr.
Errico has earned the reputation as one of the top bible scholars in the world
and the foremost expert on The Bible and the Ancient Near Eastern culture. In
1973 he was awarded a Diploma in Aramaic Studies by Dr. Lamsa, the only
student ever to receive a Diploma from Dr. Lamsa. He received a Doctorate
of Divinity from St. Ephraim Institute, Sweden in 1977 and holds both a
Doctorate in Philosophy and a Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the
School of Christianity in Los Angeles. In 1993 he was awarded a
Doctorate in Letters from the University of Theologians (The Apostolic
Succession of Antioch and the Eastern Church-American See).
He is also the recipient of many awards including an Honorary Service award from the International
Hypnotherapy Association, a Human Service award from the Existential Meta-psychiatry Association, and
the Humanitarian Award from the Science of Mind Center Floria in 1992. In 2002, he was inducted into
the Morehouse Collegium of scholars.
Dr. Errico authored his first book, Let There Be Light, The Seven Keys in 1972. The book is in its third
publishing and is now translated into German. In 1975, he wrote The Ancient Aramaic Prayer of
Jesus: The Lord's Prayer, expanded and revised in 1997 and now titled Setting a Trap For God;
translated into Spanish, German and Italian. And There Was Light, focusing on the ministry of Jesus
was published in 1998. He has spent the last fifteen years completing and revising The Aramaic Light
Series of Commentaries originally written by the late Dr. George M. Lamsa. The seven volumes of The
New Testament Series include all the books from Matthew through Revelation and the first two volumes
of The Old Testament Series from Genesis to Chronicles. He has been a contributing writer to the
Science of Mind magazine for 28 years and has appeared on numerous radio and talk shows.
A dynamic and compassionate speaker, when the Rev. Dr. Rocco A. Errico speaks, The Bible takes on
new meaning. Combining his vast knowledge of scripture, Ancient Near Eastern culture, and the Aramaic
language, the stories and characters of The Bible come alive. Mysteries are solved and hearts are
opened to the Presence of God. It can assuredly be said, "No one teaches The Bible quite like Dr. Errico."
He is CEO and Chairman of the Board of the newly formed Aramaic Bible Institute. The Institute teaches
bible classes online "from the Ancient Near Eastern Perspective" and will serve as a reference source
online for Aramaic scripture study and the study of the ancient Semitic culture and the classical Aramaic
language of The Bible . The website (www.aramaicbibleinstitute.com) , in co-ordination with the The
Aramaic Way Network (www.aramaicnetwork.com) website will also reference places and groups around
the globe where people can gather together and learn about Aramaic scripture.
The Institute is the "school" that Dr. Errico always dreamed of having so that his and Dr. Lamsa's work will
be preserved and furthered and that is our mission.
A gifted musician, Dr. Errico is an accomplished pianist and vocalist. He has composed twenty-two songs
all divinely received at times in his life when he needed healing. His first CD "Healing Affirmation in Song"
was released last year.
